What’s in it
Ratio calculator
Pick one of ten methods, set your dose and the water follows. Iced coffee splits it into hot water and ice. From 1.0.2 on, the amounts convert when you set the units to oz or tbsp.
Guided pours
Step timers built on James Hoffmann’s recipes for V60, Chemex, AeroPress, Clever and French press. Each step says how much to pour. From 1.0.2 on, the timer keeps running when your iPhone locks, and a notification tells you when each step ends.
Espresso and cold brew
A shot stopwatch with a target window, and a cold brew countdown that sends a notification when it’s ready.
Brew log
Rate each cup and write down what you tasted, so you know which beans and recipes worked. Part of Pro.
Your own recipes
Save your steps and send them to a friend as a link. Part of Pro.
iCloud sync
Your brews, coffees and recipes follow you to your other Apple devices.
Help
How do I get Pro back on a new iPhone?
Open Settings in BrewPilot and tap Restore purchase. From 1.0.2 on, the Restore Purchase buttons on the Log and Recipes screens work too. Pro belongs to your Apple ID, so sign in with the same one you bought it with.
How do I cancel Pro?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then BrewPilot. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date and you won’t be charged again.
How do I delete my data?
From 1.0.2 on, open Settings in BrewPilot and tap Delete all data. That removes your brew log, recipes, coffees and settings from this iPhone. With iCloud sync on, it also clears them in iCloud, and your other devices with 1.0.2 or later drop the same brews, recipes and coffees on their next sync.
In 1.0.1, Delete all data clears this iPhone but keeps your coffees. It doesn’t touch iCloud, so with sync on the rest comes back. Delete the iCloud copy first: open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, Manage Account Storage, BrewPilot, and delete the data there. Then delete the app.
Something doesn’t work.
Email me with your iOS version, the BrewPilot version (at the bottom of Settings, where 1.0.1 shows 1.0.0 by mistake) and what you did right before it happened. A screenshot helps a lot.
