Charado keeps nothing about you. Here is exactly what the app stores on your iPhone, and why nothing ever leaves it.
In short
Charado collects nothing. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads, and I never receive anything about you or your games.
What the app stores
On your iPhone only, in the app’s own storage: your settings (language, teams, round length, how you answer and vibration), which words of each deck have come up already (so they don’t repeat), the words you type into a Fishbowl bowl while a game runs, and a counter used to ask for a rating at most once per version. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Motion sensor
If you set Answer by to Tilting, Charado reads the iPhone’s motion sensor during a Classic round to notice when the guesser tilts the phone. The readings are used on the device in that moment and are never stored or sent anywhere.
Purchases
Apple handles payment for Charado Plus. Charado checks whether Plus is active with Apple’s StoreKit on your iPhone; no other company is involved, and I don’t receive your name, email or payment details.
No tracking
Charado has no analytics, no ads and no tracking SDKs, and doesn’t use the advertising identifier. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple shows me anonymous, combined figures such as installs and crash reports.
Legal basis
Charado processes data only on your device, to provide the game you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Children
Charado is a game for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can access, correct and delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use, and complain to a data protection authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen. Because Charado keeps nothing about you outside your iPhone, deleting the app removes everything. For purchase records, which Apple holds, write to me and I’ll help.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other servers. Its fonts are served from here.
