FuelPilotApp Store

Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

FuelPilot has no account and no server of its own. Here is exactly what leaves your iPhone, and why.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you put into FuelPilot is stored on your device: saved trips, cars, fill-ups, the last price and fuel economy you used, and your settings. There is no FuelPilot account and no FuelPilot server.

iCloud

iCloud sync is on unless you turn it off in FuelPilot’s Settings. FuelPilot then keeps a copy of your cars, fill-ups, saved trips and settings in your private iCloud database, so they reach your other devices. Apple stores that copy under your Apple ID. I can’t see it. Turning sync off stops new uploads but leaves the copy that is already there. Apple’s privacy policy applies.

Purchases

Apple handles payment for FuelPilot Pro. To check whether Pro is active, the app contacts RevenueCat each time it starts, whether or not you bought anything. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID, your purchase receipts, basic device details such as the iOS version and, like any server, your IP address. It does not get your name, email or payment details, and neither do I.

Fonts and icons

Versions before 1.0.2 load their typeface and icons from Google Fonts each time they start, which means Google receives your device’s IP address. Google’s privacy policy applies to that. From 1.0.2 on, the fonts and icons ship inside the app and nothing is loaded from Google.

No location, no tracking

FuelPilot doesn’t use your location. You type in distances yourself. It has no analytics, no ads, no tracking SDKs and doesn’t use the advertising identifier. It doesn’t ask to send notifications and sends none.

Deleting your data

From 1.0.2 on, open Settings in FuelPilot and tap Clear all data. That removes your cars, fill-ups, saved trips, settings and the last numbers you typed into the calculator from this iPhone. With iCloud sync on, it also clears them in iCloud, and your other devices with 1.0.2 or later drop the same cars, fill-ups and saved trips on their next sync.

In 1.0.1, Clear all data removes your cars, fill-ups and settings from this iPhone. It doesn’t remove your saved trips or the last numbers you typed into the calculator, and it doesn’t touch the iCloud copy, so with iCloud sync on the cleared data comes straight back. To remove everything, delete FuelPilot from each of your devices, which removes everything it stored on them. Then, on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, Manage Account Storage, FuelPilot, and delete the data there.

Children

FuelPilot doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data is held about you and have it corrected or deleted, and you can complain to a data protection authority. Because FuelPilot keeps nothing on its own servers, most requests go to Apple or RevenueCat, but write to me and I’ll help.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other servers. Its fonts and icons are served from here.
