What’s in it
A timer for every infusion
Each steep gets its own countdown ring, and the next one runs a little longer. A soft chime and a vibration tell you when to pour, and the screen stays on. In 1.0.0, keep SteepPilot open while the tea steeps. From 1.0.1 on, the timer keeps running when your iPhone locks, and a notification tells you when each steep is done.
The right water and leaf
Green, black, oolong, white, sheng and shou pu-erh, herbal and matcha each come with their own water temperature. Set the size of your gaiwan and it suggests the leaf. From 1.0.1 on, that amount depends on the tea. In 1.0.0 it’s 1 g for every 15 ml.
Taste as you go
Between infusions, tap what you taste and give it stars. With Pro you can write a short note for each infusion too.
Tea journal
Save a session with its rating and tasting notes. The free version keeps three sessions. Pro keeps them all.
My teas
Keep your teas with origin, vendor and how many grams are left. Save a session with one of them and its leaf comes off what’s left. Five teas are free, Pro has no limit.
Presets and iCloud
Save a setup you like and start it with one tap. Your journal, teas and presets reach your other Apple devices through iCloud.
Help
How do I get Pro back on a new iPhone?
Open SteepPilot and tap the gear at the top right to open Settings. Tap SteepPilot Pro at the top, then Restore Purchases. Pro belongs to your Apple ID, so use the same one you bought it with.
How do I cancel Pro?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then SteepPilot. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date and you won’t be charged again. Lifetime Pro is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
How do I delete my data?
From 1.0.1 on, Clear all data in SteepPilot’s Settings removes your journal, tea collection, presets, settings and any running session from this iPhone. With iCloud sync on, it also clears them in iCloud, and your other devices with 1.0.1 or later drop the same journal entries, teas and presets on their next sync.
In 1.0.0, Clear all data removes only your journal, tea collection and settings from this iPhone. It keeps your presets, and it doesn’t touch the copy in iCloud, which SteepPilot loads again while iCloud sync is on. To remove everything, delete the iCloud copy first: open the iPhone’s Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, Manage Account Storage, SteepPilot, and delete the data there. Then delete the app from your iPhone.
