Terms of use

Using SteepPilot

By downloading or using SteepPilot you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. SteepPilot is for personal use. Please don’t reverse engineer, resell or redistribute it.

SteepPilot Pro

Pro is optional. It currently unlocks an unlimited journal and tea collection and a written note for each infusion. You can buy it as a monthly or yearly subscription, or once as a lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the app before you buy.

Subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. If a free trial is ever offered, it is shown before you buy, and any unused part of it ends when you subscribe. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone’s Settings under your name and Subscriptions. A lifetime purchase is paid once and never renews.

Refunds

Apple processes all payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Brewing advice

Temperatures, leaf amounts and steep times in SteepPilot are starting points. How a cup tastes depends on your tea, water and teaware. Water near boiling scalds, so handle the kettle, gaiwan and teapot with care.

No warranty

SteepPilot is provided as it is. I work to keep it correct and running, but can’t promise it will always be free of errors.

Liability

As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

Changes

I may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
